This is far more than a traditional Accounts Assistant role. Alongside the day-to-day transactional accounting, you'll support month-end, project accounting, reconciliations, and work across several finance systems, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience and develop their career.

The Person:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing purchase and sales invoices, credit notes and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Performing supplier, customer, bank and intercompany reconciliations
  • Assisting with month-end processes including journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Supporting project accounting, monitoring project costs and assisting with project profitability reporting
  • Working across a variety of ERP systems while helping to maintain data accuracy
  • Supporting internal and external audits
  • Producing reports and assisting with finance improvement projects

The Person:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role is required.
  • Strong bookkeeping and reconciliation skills are essential.
  • Good Excel skills are essential.
  • Experience using accounting or ERP systems is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are required.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines is essential.
