Accounts Assistant required for a dynamic construction business based in Rotherham (additional office in the South).

This is a stand-alone role. Reporting to the Director the Accounts Assistant would be responsible for:
- Maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers.
- Dealing with contractors/CIS.
- Credit control.
- Month-end checks.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Expenses/credit card reconciliations.
- Checking and processing employee expenses.
- Processing timesheets.
- Liaising with the external accountant on a regular basis.
- Attending fortnightly finance team meetings.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
This role is not limited to any industry although candidates from a construction background would be desirable:
- Previous experience within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment is required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Working knowledge of Sage is desirable.
- Good IT skills including Excel (Pivot Tables and VLookups) are essential.
- You must be a self self-starter able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload.
