Accounts Assistant - Immediate start required

Experienced Accounts Assistant required for a large Worksop business. This role does require an immediate start. 

The purpose of the role is to support the finance team during a busy period/company growth. 

You will be responsible for:

Maintaining the Purchase Ledger:

  • Batching coding and inputting invoices onto the system.
  • Ensuring invoices are authorised for payment. 
  • Raising PO's as required. 
  • Uploading supplier payments to the bank. 
  • Dealing with queries. 

Maintaining the Sales Ledger:

  • Issuing sales invoices.
  • Credit control using written and verbal communication. 
  • Posting and allocating payments to accounts. 
  • Dealing with queries. 

Other ad hoc duties as required. 

The person:

  • Previous experience is essential. 
  • You must be available for an immediate start. 
  • Knowledge of Sage is desirable. 
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision is required.
