Assistant Accountant - Part Qualified required for an "Employer of Choice" based in Wetherby.
They are a large, owner managed, multi site distribution business delivering year on year increased sale and profit with 26 branches across the UK and Northern Ireland.
This would suit an enthusiastic, ambitious individual (AAT qualified or a finance graduate studying towards CIMA or ACCA) providing them with the opportunity to build on and develop their current management accounting skills and giving them full owner ship of the branch P&L's. Duties to include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts for three branches and associated sub branches, including accruals, prepayments, journals etc.
- Maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Dealing with customer rebates.
- Assisting and reviewing annual budgets.
- Providing Business Partnering to the Branch Directors to support with the interpreting of monthly financial results.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
Candidates with experience (minimum 12 months) within distribution or the construction industry are desirable but not essential:
- An understanding of double entry book keeping is essential.
- Excellent IT skills including Excel (data manipulation, Pivot Tables, Sumifs, VLookups) are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required - ability to communicate at all levels including finance and non finance people, internally and externally.
