The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Finance. Duties will include:
- Maintaining the Purchase Ledger.
- Updating and maintaining the cashbook.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Stock accounting.
- Intercompany transactions.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Profit and loss variance reporting.
- Accruals and prepayments.
- Preparation and posting of monthly journals.
- Monthly VAT return.
- Updating and maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
This search is not limited to any industry. Previous experience is essential:
- A solid understanding of debits and credits is essential.
- Experience of working with stock is desirable.
- You must be IT literate with working knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, XLookups, Forumula's etc).
- Sage Line 200 experience is desirable.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is essential.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
