Assistant Accountant - Part Qualified or QBE

Experienced Part Qualified or QBE Assistant Accountant required for a well-established Sheffield based organisation. 

The main purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the payroll, VAT and cashflow whilst supporting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Processing weekly and month payroll from start to finish
  • Dealing with all associated administration including new starters and leavers
  • Dealing with all payroll queries
  • Liaising with 3rd parties 
  • Payroll journals
  • Running monthly reports
  • Overseeing the purchase and sales ledgers
  • Quarterly VAT completions and submissions
  • Daily cashflow forecasting
  • Dealing with queries regards to forecasting
  • Assisting with annual budgets
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

This search is not limited to any industry. Previous experience and the ability to work in a small team is key to this recruitment:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a similar role is essential
  • Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail, numeracy skills, flexibility, high degree of organisation and time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
