They are set to see record breaking profits for their FY22 forecast and are already way ahead of target. A key role within the Group, the successful candidate will assist the Group FC in delivering the longer-term strategy in addition to providing the daily financial rigour as required. The role will be working for the Group Financial Controller, with a view that the role develops and grows into a future Divisional or Group FC role.

The position will ensure the finance professional is engaged in the strategic & operational debates whilst being able to impress senior management and stakeholders by providing high quality financial rigour and commercial interpretation on a coherent & consistent basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing the group consolidation for the group
  • Management Information - review and/or preparation
  • Cash-flow modelling and analysis and modelling & forecasting for the group
  • Oversee the annual statutory accounts preparation by RSM and managing the external audit
  • Deal with tax queries and liaison with the tax advisor
  • Support key stake holders within the organisation providing financial and technical support
  • Ensure robust financial controls & processes are established, well understood and being followed across the finance team
  • Supervision of the Developments Management Accountant
  • Prepare / review of key monthly balance sheet reconciliations and undertake a leading role in corporate transactions
  • Assist in cross functional projects which improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department
  • Project work - modelling, system changes, banking analysis etc.

Ideal Requirements:

  • ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA qualified
  • Able to demonstrate strong progression in their career to date
  • Experienced in audit/accounting advisory/ CF in practice, working with entrepreneurial businesses
  • Astute both commercially and analytically. able to consider micro & macroeconomic factors and able to contribute and communicate across the business at all levels
  • Demonstrate a strong technical competency in financial accounting and reporting
  • Team management/supervisory experience
