A Part-Qualified Assistant Management Accountant is required for a well-established business in the Barnsley area.
Main duties will be to assist with the month end process along with ad hoc project work and strategic plans.
Day to day duties include:
- Preparing monthly P&L accounts, running monthly reports
- Reviewing & reconciling stock levels for analysis
- Producing monthly & annual forecasts
- Completing management accounts journals
- Making recommendations for improvements and cost savings
- Controlling the cost accounting system for accurate reporting
- Producing monthly cost updates across business functions, investigating variances/anomalies
- Preparing perpetual inventory calculations following stock taking
Experience required:
- Part-qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
- Experience in a cost environment
- MS Office experience with advanced Excel; knowledge of general accounting software
