BRM Solicitors is a growing organisation looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive team. They are looking for a strategic financial leader to build and manage the finance function, contributing significantly to company growth.

• As CFO, you will serve as the key financial intermediary for the Executive Board, overseeing all aspects of financial management including cash flow, investments, insurance, budgeting, and reporting.

• You will coordinate the development of annual budgets and ensure compliance with financial regulations, including SRA Accounting rules. Additionally, you will conduct risk management, evaluate capital structure and fundraising initiatives, and provide strategic financial advice to inform key spending decisions.

• You will manage HR operations, monitor business performance, oversee financial IT systems, and ensure timely tax reporting.

• Collaboration with IT, marketing, and other departments is crucial to align financial planning with overall business strategies. You will also liaise with external accountants and auditors, manage processes, and develop financial targets and bonus structures.

You will work closely with shareholders and the new Executive Team, providing strategic direction, business planning, and remuneration advice. Your role includes guiding funding initiatives, managing due diligence, and ensuring effective financial planning.

We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 5-10 years of post-qualification experience, strong financial and business management skills, and a proven track record in strategic planning and implementation.

Experience in a regulatory environment, preferably within the legal sector, and the ability to scale operations in a growing SME is essential. Experience in business acquisitions is also desirable.
