We are seeking a Chair with strong NED experience to support a Midlands-based, venture-backed advanced manufacturing business as it scales. The company is entering a commercial growth phase with international ambitions, including recent traction in the US market.

The company designs and builds high-value capital equipment (each sale >£200k), supplying leading aerospace customers in early-stage production environments. It has recently secured £1m in equity funding and is moving from technical validation into full commercialisation.
The leadership team includes a highly driven founder-CEO who will benefit from a Chair capable of offering strategic challenge, growth support, and level-headed guidance.
Key requirements:

Experience scaling early-stage, VC-backed businesses (ideally 2+ NED roles)

Track record of building sales channels in complex technical or capital equipment markets

Commercial awareness of international expansion, especially into the US preferred

Familiarity with growth funding strategy, governance, and organisational design

Based within 60 minutes of Nottingham preferred

Available minimum 2 days/month, including quarterly in-person board meetings
