Cutwel is a highly successful, PE-backed business going through an exciting period of growth and acquisition.

This is a data-heavy commercial role where you’ll be expected to find the story behind the numbers.

With huge amounts of data across customers, products, stock and multiple sales channels, Cutwel is looking for someone who can identify trends, spot opportunities and, most importantly, understand why.

Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you’ll turn complex financial and operational data into clear insight that influences commercial decisions.

The role will include:

Analysing large and complex datasets
Identifying trends, patterns and commercial opportunities
Customer, product, pricing, margin and stock analysis
Understanding performance across different sales channels
Turning complex analysis into clear insight for senior leadership
Building dashboards, models and reporting to improve decision-making
Using ERP, BI and emerging technology to improve how data is used
Supporting analysis across future acquisitions

What are they looking for?

You’ll need a finance background with a good understanding of the P&L and commercial performance, but a professional qualification isn’t essential.

You’ll be highly analytical, commercially curious and confident working with large volumes of data. Experience within a stock-heavy, product-led, distribution, wholesale or manufacturing environment would be particularly relevant.

Just as importantly, you’ll be able to challenge, ask the right questions and make complex information simple.
