In this role, you will help the business succeed by:

Business Partnering to conduct ongoing strategic and operational reviews of Stores, using a hands-on support approach with all aspects of commercial finance/ financial planning, analysis and insight to recommend and support the delivery of actions to drive sustainable sales and profit growth.
- Business Partnering with the Finance Director, Regional Operations Directors and other Commercial Finance Business Partners.
- Collaborative and proactive working within the finance team including but not exclusively Business Partnering and Accounting/Reporting.
- Increase the understanding of financial information of key stakeholders and teams through reporting, insights and interpretation to influence decision making and drive sustainable sales and profit business performance.
- Interpreting data, information and statistics, assessing the value of this information through insights and presenting the findings and recommendations to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise way.
- Support future strategic and business planning including target setting.
- Develop timely and value adding KPIs including the appropriate level of region, area and store performance analysis including financial and operational, revenue and profitability analysis.
- Build an in-depth knowledge of how the business operates including key value drivers – utilising this insight to deliver insightful narrative helping to drive the profitable success of the overall business.
- Pro-actively support shaping and driving commercial strategic initiatives

 

The experience and skills that will help you hit the ground running are:
- Demonstrable evidence of:

  • Supporting and influencing multiple management teams in a fast pace commercial/retail environment.
  • Creating informative narrative around business performance utilising insight from business activity levers.
  • Holding key stakeholders to account for delivery of strategic and operational action plans supporting sustainable sales and profit growth in line with budget and forecast expectations.

- Proven ability to prioritise deliverables, manage expectations and work on own initiative in a way that supports key priorities.
- Curiosity, collaborative, inquisitive, enthusiastic, proactive and positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Resilient and dynamic approach to getting things done
- Professional finance qualification (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) – desired not essential
- Strong core business skills including cost control, influencing, stakeholder management and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills

This role is paying a very competitive salary of £50-65,000 plus car/car allowance of £6,000, bonus up to 10%, hybrid working, pension, life assurance and excellent career and development opportunities.
