Experienced Data Analyst required for a rapidly expanding business based in Sheffield.
My client is an independently owned business established over 10 years ago and now operate out of several branches throughout the UK employing over 200 employees and growing.
Based out of the Head Office this is a newly created role due to business demands.
Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for:
- Developing of new/ upgrade existing data capture & reporting systems in response to business needs
- Document & maintain current systems
- Using Excel/ Power BI/ SSMS to query SQL databases
- Design & deliver ad hoc analysis pieces in response to a brief
- Cleanse & report purchasing, sales & production data as required
- Other ad hoc duties as require
Master Data:
- Assist other departments with master data set up for new items & dimensioning
- Establish internal item & vendor review/ audit procedures to ensure VAT/Commodity/Other Reporting compliance
- Help to develop & maintain master data set up procedures
- Be the main source on site for advice assistance with dimension, set up & data reporting issues
This search is not being limited to any industry but does require a candidate with very strong IT skills & from a background of working with data, in addition to high degree of proficiency with Excel and SQL.
The successful candidate will be from a finance background or training
- Experience within a Systems Accountant role or similar would be desirable
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, prioritise workload and meet deadlines is essential
