About the Role

The Digital Transformation Lead will work closely with senior leadership, operational teams, and the IT function to deliver the company’s operational digitalisation strategy. This high-impact role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to lead digital transformation and build cutting-edge capabilities across a large, complex site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify and implement digital enhancements that improve processes and productivity.
  • Lead a dedicated Digitalisation Team to deliver the organisation’s strategic goals.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for digital manufacturing, focusing on innovation and operational excellence.
  • Ensure robust digital security measures to protect critical data and information.
  • Modernise processes by digitising paper-based systems, enabling data accessibility and control.
  • Drive the adoption of real-time data collection solutions for informed decision-making.
  • Explore and implement advanced technologies such as virtual manufacturing, intelligent processes, robotics, and automation.

About You

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives, preferably within a heavy manufacturing or operational environment.
  • A strong track record in data-driven decision-making and process improvement.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive organisational change.
  • Extensive experience in change management and fostering innovation.
  • Knowledge of automation, robotics, and emerging technologies is highly desirable.
  • Operational expertise and a background in heavy manufacturing would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable ability to identify and address learning and development needs during digital transformation.
