The Role:
You will be responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the whole financial monitoring and reporting ecosystem within Birmingham Museums Trust and it’s associated subsidiaries (Thinktank Trust and Birmingham Museums Trading Ltd).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic financial management of the organisation
- Work with Co CEO'S to prepare annual budgets and 4 yearly business plans
- Take overall responsibility for the management accounting processes including budgeting, forecasting and capitalisation
- Work with other senior stakeholders to deliver a long-term sustainable financial position.
- Take overall responsibility for developing, operating and improving the finance service.
- Provide timely and accurate financial information clarity to support business at both operational and strategic levels.
- Be a part of the Senior Leadership Team in developing and delivering strategies that enable the Trust to realise its vision and aims.
- Ensure that BMT remains compliant with all relevant regulatory and statutory processes
- Prepare, in liaison with external auditors, the Annual Report and Accounts
- Support the Finance and Risk Committee with all necessary papers and information
We are seeking a fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) who is comfortable managing the full finance lifecycle of the Trust.
You’ll lead the finance team to deliver on the lifecycle and embed a culture of enabling. You’ll also be a senior leader within the organisation and an ambassador for our strategy and values. You’ll shape the way finance is viewed within the sector.
