About this job opportunity

Duties and responsibilities include;

  • Preparation of a comprehensive management accounts pack
  • Termly reforecasting
  • Leading the finance team
  • Year-end reporting and audit lead
  • Internal audit
  • Attending the Audit Committee, Finance Committee, Corporation Committee meetings
  • Attending the periodic SMT, SLT, College Management and Finance meetings
  • Leading the funding process from the Transformation Fund
  • Overseeing the pension schemes
  • Insurance
  • Legal
  • Risk management  / risk register
  • Member of Health & Safety Committee
  • Cash management

Who we are looking for

  • Qualified accountant
  • A leader with gravitas
  • A strong communicator – capable of translating finance for non-finance people
  • Natural relationship builder – internally and externally with funds and advisers
  • Relevant sector experience is not  a prerequisite requirement
  • Either an experienced Finance Director or a Financial Controller level candidate looking for a step-up
