A leading Sheffield technology business are looking for an Environmental Advisor to join their existing team.  You would be joining a friendly team who are supportive and inclusive. The business offers excellent benefits, development opportunities and would fund relevant training. The job duties are varied ranging from site visits to strategic planning. Responsibilities:

  • Provide environmental advice and support to project management teams
  • Conduct environmental investigations and site inspections
  • Lead the production of Environmental and Social Appraisals (ESA) and Management Plans (ESMP)
  • Write reports, mitigation plans, and risk assessments
  • Support compliance with ISO14001 and other environmental standards
  • Deliver subject matter briefings and training
  • Assist in audits and monitoring for environmental performance

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license 
  • Railway experience in a similar role and full PTS (Personal Track Safety) is a definite advantage but not essential 
  • Be a minimum of a Practitioner member of Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment or working towards and / or NEBOSH Environmental
  • Good knowledge of environmental legislation and best practice;
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to write clear, concise reports;
  • Ability to multi-task and work proactively and flexibly in support of changing workloads;
  • Strong prioritisation and organisation skills
  • A relevant undergraduate degree or experience in Environmental management;
  • Previous experience in a similar role;
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with travel required - you can plan your own diary and car allowance / expenses covered
