A leading Sheffield technology business are looking for an Environmental Advisor to join their existing team. You would be joining a friendly team who are supportive and inclusive. Responsibilities:
- Provide environmental advice and support to project management teams
- Conduct environmental investigations and site inspections
- Lead the production of Environmental and Social Appraisals (ESA) and Management Plans (ESMP)
- Write reports, mitigation plans, and risk assessments
- Support compliance with ISO14001 and other environmental standards
- Deliver subject matter briefings and training
- Assist in audits and monitoring for environmental performance
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license
- Railway experience in a similar role and full PTS (Personal Track Safety) is a definite advantage but not essential
- Be a minimum of a Practitioner member of Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment or working towards and / or NEBOSH Environmental
- Good knowledge of environmental legislation and best practice;
- Be an excellent communicator with the ability to write clear, concise reports;
- Ability to multi-task and work proactively and flexibly in support of changing workloads;
- Strong prioritisation and organisation skills
- A relevant undergraduate degree or experience in Environmental management;
- Previous experience in a similar role;
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with travel required - you can plan your own diary and car allowance / expenses covered
