About the Role
As the Investor Relations and External Communications Specialist, you will:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to gather insights on Harworth’s operations and trading activities, ensuring consistent and relevant messaging to the media and markets.
- Identify, draft, and track corporate communications, including operational and regulatory announcements, press releases, and reactive statements.
- Align and approve messaging for internal communications and social media, ensuring consistency with our corporate strategy.
- Play a key role in preparing for non-investor events and investor-focused events, from identifying targets to arranging contacts and networking.
- Monitor share price movements, track major shareholder activities, and review analyst research to provide summaries and insights.
- Build and maintain investor distribution lists, enhance our investor website, and implement improvements in stakeholder management processes.

What We’re Looking For
- High-impact communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to explain complex issues simply.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in data analytics to support financial announcements and internal papers.
- A background in finance, accountancy, public relations, or corporate communications, preferably within the capital markets.
- Exceptional project management abilities and process implementation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A collaborative team player capable of building strong relationships across a matrixed organization.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in External Communications, Investor Relations, Investment Banking, high-growth businesses, or consulting is a plus.
