Finance Business Partner/ Group accountant for a 12 month contract in York , working for one of the best employers in the area. Salary up to £45K + car allowance + benefits
Our client is an instantly recognisable brand in York and we are working with them to find an interim accountant. They operate in a highly competitive market but have a strong reputation which is supported by recent results and future projections.
This is a key role in the finance team working closely with the corporate finance team an the wider business.The role will include supporting the month end and year end close. consolidation and reporting process and also supporting the forecasting team with the annual budget, quarterly forecasting and business partnering. Some of your duties will include:
- Preparation of financial reporting including consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash flow, variance analysis and management of the risk and ops register.
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts for all group companies.
- Support the Head of Finance with implementing and reviewing the Controls Self-Assessment.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to Finance Directors as required.
- Drive forward improvements in processes and controls in line with best practice and accounting standards.
- Review monthly results to ensure accuracy and provide insightful narrative.
