A growing SME manufacturing company with a turnover of £7m have a newly created vacancy for a Finance Business Partner
The business is going through an exciting time of restructure and growth. This role provides a perfect platform for an Accountant to make the role their own. A blank sheet of paper to implement systems and processes. They need someone to roll up their sleeves and be courageous and clever to help create something special
- Ownership of various projects to improve the quality of financial information across the factory while maintaining and delivering accurate reports to key stakeholders including the FD, MD and Chairman.
- We aim to expand our growth profile as well as product offering, through research and sales, and our winning candidate will be working with the product development and sales teams to understand the cost drivers, review plan vs actual and really understand the differences between manufacturing for research vs production
- Lead the cost accounting and cost analysis efforts, including inventory reconciliation, job cost reviews (and updates), analysis of manufacturing variances and recommendations on inventory reserves
- Responsible for analysing material, labour, subcon and overhead costs for the products manufactured.
- Develop existing inhouse database reporting and financial data modelling & assist with potential future ERP implementation
We are looking for candidates from the following background;
- Qualified or Qualified by experience Accountant with a background in manufacturing
- Able to adapt to new and different IT software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis
- Able to research, compile, analyse and interpret multiple sources of data
- Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills including presenting reports
- Confident, positive ‘can do’ attitude
