A high-profile Finance Director role within a world-class manufacturing business in Sheffield.
Our client is at an advanced stage of an MBO process, led by an experienced executive & non-exec board, a strong branding in a global marketplace and with an exciting plan of growth post-MBO. There is an opportunity for equity involvement within the business in the foreseeable future – This is a clear attraction of the role, but should not be a distraction from the range of immediate deliverables;
- Setting and leading all aspects of the financial strategy
- Leading a complex costing system, working closely with operations and sales leads
- Developing better budgetary & management reporting controls
- Working capital management – through effective processes and gaining the buy-in from other departmental leads
- Statutory and financial reporting (UK GAAP)
- Developing a new internal audit system
- Leading a small finance team
- Taking a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance
We are looking for a Finance Director from the manufacturing or engineering sector (essential for understanding the costing system, business process and supply chain) Other required attributes are;
- Hands-on, commercial and operationally minded – able to demonstrate the skills to strengthen collaboration between finance and manufacturing operations
- High levels of drive, ambition and energy
- Able to balance the long-term objectives of the business with the day-to-day demands
- Strong and robust personality – experienced in working in a culture of collaboration, results-focus and direct communication
- Motivated by plans for growth – ideally from a very early stage of development
