A leading construction company in Barnsley, specialists in their field and operating throughout the UK and Europe have a vacancy for a Finance Manager
The Group has seen significant growth over recent years with current turnover in the order of £100m and with operations / facilities across the UK employing over 400 people.
This role would suit a candidate who has worked in Chartered Practice and looking for their first move into industry or a candidate looking for their first role in management/managing a team
They are looking for a proactive and strong individual with excellent technical skills and the attitude to want to make a difference, improve systems and processes and not accept the status quo. The successful candidate will be rewarded through the involvement in and ability to influence all aspects of the Group.
The role covers all aspects of financial management, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures and managing 1 direct report
The role provides scope for future professional development and progression.
We are looking for candidates from the following background;
- 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Ideally experience in Group accounts
- Hold a professional Qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Experience with producing statutory financial statements
- Excellent MS office skills
