The job:

As the Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Finance Director to set up and establish a new finance team.

This is a really exciting time to be joining, as you will set up finance systems and procedures to support the considerable investment that is being made in the business.

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Maintain general ledger postings, reconciliations, and accruals for the Corby site.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for the business unit.
  • Provide analysis on cost structures and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor performance against budget and highlight risks or opportunities to management.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required. 

The person:

  • Ideally, you will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant, with a hands-on attitude, able to manage and motivate a small team of staff.
  • You will have significant experience in management and financial accounting, ideally in a manufacturing environment and want to be really involved in an expanding business.
  • You will set up new reporting systems and procedures, and be a key point of contact for all matters financial and experience of SAGE 200 would be advantageous.
