A fast growing data and tech driven, venture capital backed e-commerce and manufacturing business looking for a highly motivated finance professional to drive their business forward. The position is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious, driven qualified accountant to drive the financial strategy of the business.
Working directly alongside the CEO you will support strategic decision making. The quality and detail of your work will be essential in supporting board level discussions and through any subsequent investment or corporate finance processes.
You’ll be tasked with creating monthly management accounts, keeping our integrated financial model up to date, whilst dealing with other routine functions such as payroll, remittance, tax and annual reporting.
The role presents a great opportunity to hone your data insight skills. Although the business manufacture they are very much a data and tech-centric business. As they rapidly expand they need to consistently iterate their recommendation engine. You will work with analytical individuals within the business, assisting through data modelling and analysis to help make recommendations to improve our offering, ultimately driving further customer retention and long term value.
You will also work closely with the operations and purchasing functions, ensuring timely and up to date forecast information is available. You’ll help to create efficiencies in the production facility, assessing the costs and benefits of the implementation of automation machinery, whilst monitoring margin at a product level, highlighting opportunities to drive improvements.

Key skills and experience required for the role.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Integrated financial modelling, budgeting and cash flow forecasting
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Managing the annual reporting process and obligations
- Managing the payroll, remittance and tax functions
- Working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to improve financial systems, processes and controls
- Ability to turn analytical insights into tangible value
- Excellent IT skills (use of Microsoft Suite, QuickBooks)
