Finance Manager

Experienced qualified Finance Manager required for our client who operates within the construction and property sector based in Sheffield.

This office based role demands a suitably experienced Accountant to take ownership of this newly created position, reporting to the Managing Director of an SME, managing accounts for the variety of different operating companies within.

Duties will include:

  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Quarterly management accounts
  • Preparation and submission of annual accounts
  • Monthly PAYE returns
  • Construction Industry Scheme monthly returns
  • Monthly payroll and auto enrolment administration
  • Weekly bank reconciliation
  • Input & payment of purchase and subcontractor invoices
  • Input of cashbook transactions
  • Pension scheme administration
  • Self-assessment tax returns for Directors and Shareholders
  • Tax advice
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Experience within the construction industry is desirable and experience of working within an SME is key to this recruitment:

  • Knowledge of tax would be advantageous
  • Good IT skills are required
