A £5m turnover construction based SME in Rotherham are looking to recruit a newly created role of Finance Manager. This is no1 in finance reporting to the Managing Director. This role is pivotal to the direction of the business and will form part of the Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for applicants with the following attributes;

  • Run the day-to-day operation of the accounts department with responsibility for 1 member of staff.
  • Preparation of management accounts using the Sage line 50 system
  • Timely month end reporting, including insightful analysis and commentary
  • Variance and Performance Analysis
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Manage the company’s cash and produce short & medium term forecasts
  • Analysis of Overheads and reporting against department budgets
  • Conducting relative commercial analysis and reports to aid company decision making
  • Drive continuous improvement or processes and systems across the finance department
  • VAT returns
  • Company secretarial duties around statutory returns
  • Payroll weekly/monthly on Sage

We are looking for a qualified accountant who has worked in a construction/engineering/manufacturing small/medium sized business

Trustworthy and deadline driven and good at time management

Good communication and IT skills

Supportive to the team member for AAT studies
