Experienced Finance Manager, QBE or currently studying, required for a multi million pound business based in Barnsley. This is a newly created role due to internal promotion and growth within the business and an excellent opportunity for a candidate wanting to add value and make a difference. 

The main purpose of the role is to support the Finance Director with the timely preparation of the periodic monthly reporting pack and to support the Accounts Assistant with the daily transactional accounting. Duties will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Providing key reports to the Senior Management team - finance & non finance
  • Weekly cashflow reporting
  • Daily sales reporting - margins & stock etc 
  • Bank reconciliations - multi currency 
  • Processing supplier payments
  • Management of Credit Insurance and associated reporting
  • Assistance in year-end audit and tax packs
  • National statistics
  • VAT returns
  • Adherence to and improvement of financial controls
  • Dealing with customer rebates
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

The person:

  • Previous experience is essential 
  • Experience within distribution would be desirable
  • Intermediate Excel skills are essential
  • The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills
