Pratap Partnership are working with a large company in Sheffield to recruit for a newly created role of Financial Accountant. This position would suit a candidate who is looking for a first move from chartered practice.
Overview of the role;
Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and other ad hoc reports as required
Preparation of all journals and final GL balances including review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts for the Joint Venture Companies
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Company’s accounting records and financial systems;
Assist in the preparation and production of the statutory accounts for companies with in the property group, as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and the current legislation;
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Preparation and completion of bank reconciliations and posting of cash books.
Preparation of returns for Corporation Tax, VAT, CIS and other relevant taxes, ensuring these returns and resulting payments are submitted on time
Overview of expectations;
Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant with a strong technical background and ideally have qualified in chartered practice. You will have good attention to detail, have good IT skills and solid work ethic
