This is an opportunity to take the reins of a respected business, lead its people and make a real commercial difference. With an established customer base, a strong reputation and an owner committed to its future, the incoming General Manager will have the scope to introduce new ideas and help drive the next phase of development.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Lead the commercial performance of three stores, taking ownership of sales, gross margin and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue, broaden the product offer and strengthen the customer proposition.
- Inspire and develop the team, setting high standards of service and performance.
- Be a visible, hands-on leader, building relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Work directly for the owner to turn ambitious growth plans into practical, measurable results.
About you
You will be a commercially astute, energetic and pragmatic leader with a record of improving performance in retail, trade or a related multi-site business. You will be equally comfortable analysing the numbers, developing people and spending time on the shop floor. Experience of the agricultural or rural market would be welcome, but attitude, leadership and commercial instinct are paramount.
An attractive remuneration package will be agreed to reflect the experience and potential of the successful candidate, including the opportunity for performance-related reward.
