Group Financial Accountant, exclusively registered with Pratap PartnershipThis is a superb opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, acquisitive, PE backed business within a newly created role. Based in the York area with hybrid working. 

The post role will report into the Group Financial Controller and will take responsibility for the management of financial reporting, preparation of the group consolidation, tax and treasury.

Managing a small team, you will focus on the management of the team whilst driving improvements across the finance function, to automate process where necessary. In addition, you will manage corporate reporting, group external audit and development of associated financial processes. You will be an experienced Group Financial Accountant from practice or industry with experience of technical accounting.


•Manage group audit of corporate entities.

•Periodic reporting of financial performance of individual entities and on a consolidated basis.

•Statutory and Group accounts prep ensuring annual financial statements are completed to a high standard.

•Management responsibility for treasury and tax.

•Day to day management of group financing arrangements and banking.

•Management of group’s cash & liquidity, including future covenant reporting.

•Management and oversight of group tax compliance and tax strategy.

•Management of statutory tax/filing deadlines incl. reporting and payments.

•Ensuring financial control, compliance and risk management objectives for the group are achieved.

•Includes development/refinement of financial frameworks to manage key areas of commercial and financial risk.

Qualifications and Experience:

•A qualified accountant with a group finance background.

•ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.

•Strong technical accounting skills.

•An ambitious team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to lead others.

•Strong communication skills and ability to develop good relationships across the business.
