Head of Finance sought for expanding SME business in Leeds. Due to the growth of the business a new position of Head of Finance has been created. Working directly alongside the CEO you will support strategic decision making. The quality and detail of your work will be essential in supporting board level discussions and through any fundraising process.
You’ll be tasked with monthly management accounts, compiling comprehensive and concise weekly management reports, keeping our integrated financial model up to date, whilst responsible for other routine functions such as payroll, tax and annual reporting. You will also work closely with the marketing function, ensuring timely and up to date forecast information is available. Assessing the costs and benefits of promotions, whilst monitoring margin at a product level, highlighting opportunities to drive improvements.
Being part of a small team with big aspirations, you will have significant influence on the direction the business takes and the results of your work will be very visible.
The suitable applicant must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and experience of the following is desirable:
- integrated financial modelling, budgeting and cash flow forecasting
- preparing monthly management accounts
- managing the annual reporting process and obligations
- ability to improve financial systems, processes and controls
- ability to turn analytical insights into tangible value
- excellent IT skills (use of Microsoft, Xero preferred)
