Head of Finance Business Partnering – 12 Month FTC

Pratap Partnership are exclusively recruiting for a well-established and complex manufacturing business in South Yorkshire who are looking to appoint a Head of Finance Business Partnering on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a senior finance leadership role within a large-scale manufacturing environment, leading the Finance Business Partnering function and working closely with operational and senior leadership teams across the business.

We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced manufacturing finance professionals who can demonstrate a strong understanding of costing, commercial finance and the financial dynamics of a complex production environment.

The role will include:

• Leading and developing the Finance Business Partnering team.

• Providing high-quality financial insight, analysis and challenge to operational stakeholders.

• Responsibility for contract costing, standard costing and cost accounting.

• Supporting long-term contract accounting, revenue recognition and contract profitability.

• Budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.

• Providing meaningful analysis and commentary around operational and commercial performance.

• Supporting cost management and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Financial appraisal and monitoring of significant capital investment projects.

• Maintaining strong financial controls, reconciliations and audit compliance.

• Working closely with senior stakeholders to support commercial and operational decision-making.

The successful candidate:

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant post-qualified experience gained within manufacturing.

Strong manufacturing experience is important for this appointment, particularly exposure to standard costing, cost accounting and complex manufacturing operations. Experience of long-term contracts, contract accounting or project-based manufacturing would be particularly advantageous.

• Excellent commercial and analytical capability.

• The ability to influence and challenge senior operational stakeholders.

• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.

• Experience working with ERP systems and robust financial controls.

• The ability to quickly understand a complex organisation and add value in a senior finance role.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior manufacturing finance professional to join a substantial South Yorkshire organisation for an initial 12-month period.
