The role
Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, you will:
- Lead and develop a small team within the general ledger and reporting function.
- Take ownership of the balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring strong controls and integrity.
- Act as a key contact for external auditors on all balance sheet matters.
- Deliver clear visibility of financial performance by developing and presenting KPIs.
- Prepare regular UK cash flow projections and align these with balance sheet and cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee financial control, governance, and monitoring of capital investment projects, including ROI analysis.
- Support decision-making on IT expenditure and investment through robust business case evaluation.
The person
We are looking for an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant who can demonstrate:
- Experience of operating at a senior level within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong technical grounding in statutory and commercial compliance.
- A proven ability to manage budgets and maintain high levels of financial control.
- Excellent IT and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into clear insights.
