Pratap Partnership is recruiting an Interim Management Accountant for a well-established organisation based in the Chesterfield area. This is an initial six-month contract with an immediate start, offering hybrid working (three days in the office and two from home).
This is a hands-on management accounting role, ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the month-end process while supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Month-end close and reporting.
- Production of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of strong financial controls.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Supporting consolidated reporting across multiple business units.
- Managing a Finance Assistant.
- Working closely with the wider finance team to provide accurate and timely financial information.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Finance Manager role.
- Strong month-end management accounting experience.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- The ability to work independently and build strong relationships across the business.
- Experience of ERP systems would be advantageous.
