We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Interim Senior Buyer to join the Commercial team of a fast-growing energy business. This position is hybrid and offers flexibility of the candidates office base being within the Wakefield or Sunderland area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop sourcing strategies for tenders.
  • Focus on IT frameworks. 
  • Manage supplier pre-qualification.
  • Collaborate on tender documents and contract terms.
  • Evaluate tender responses and lead clarification meetings.
  • Assess tender value and affordability.
  • Prepare award proposals and execute contracts.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.


About You:

  • Advanced commercial acumen and data management.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management.
  • Experience with multi-million-pound contracts.
  • Knowledge of terms and conditions.
  • Comprehensive procurement experience.
  • Minimum A-Level education or equivalent.
  • MCIPS accreditation (or working towards it).
  • Full UK clean driving licence.
  • Proven project management and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of contract law and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
