Maintenance Engineer - Electrical bias

Monday - Friday, plus on-call rota

Fully qualified electrician/HNC Electrical Engineering.

Role Duties:

  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs on machinery in a factory environment.
  • Respond to equipment faults by doing routine checks.
  • Diagnose breakdown problems.
  • Order and fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly.
  • Carry out quality inspections on jobs.
  • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components.
  • Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment, and monitor maintenance costs.
  • Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager and Factory Management to improve on-site health & safety.
  • Ensure clear updates and communications with Engineering Manager and Head of Maintenance and Engineering.

Key Skills:

Fully qualified electrician/HNC Electrical Engineering.

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations - Required
  • Previous engineering experience within food production preferred
  • Ability to prioritise and organize workload
  • Support maintenance assistant
  • Ability to carry out planned works alongside breakdowns
  • Efficient time management under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Flexibility to work unsociable hours
