Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for a new challenge in Sheffield? I am working with a service company to find a Management Accountant with a strong background in putting accounts together and liasing with auditors
The Job
The Management Accountant will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for 2 separate entities
Manage the production of the consolidated monthly management accounts, journals, forecasts and departmental contribution statements according to the company timetables;
Discuss the financial accounts, monthly, with budget holders, to identify the key variances, to identify trends and report on variances to forecast/budget and deal with queries;
Production of monthly payroll C 70 staff and Journals
Prepare VAT & Statistical Returns
Prepare in conjunction with the Finance Manager the statutory accounts including working papers and supporting documentation
Assisting with Statutory Accounts and Liaison with external auditors
Production of the month end pack for the review of budgets holders and hold monthly budget holder meeting, prepare variance analysis commentary
Maintain internal financial controls and policies
Develop process improvement and drive effectiveness and efficiency;
Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and manage balance sheet processes;
Cashflow management and forecasting
Maintain the Fixed Assets Register;
Produce relevant KPIs for regular review
Assist with the annual budget process working closing with budget managers
The Person
Qualified or qualified by experience Accountant with strong management accounting skills. You must be able to meet tight deadlines and be used to a fast paced environment
