Ambitious Management Accountant required for a specialist engineering company in Sheffield with its origins rooted in the UK steel industry. They have seen significant growth over the last 5 years with further growth planned in future, with a large order book in hand and significant future opportunities.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant is responsible for:
- Producing accurate financial accounts.
- Forecasting and budgeting.
- Developing financial analysis and reporting.
- Monitoring and controlling key WIP/raw material stocks.
- Reporting on the financial performance of the different business units, working with factory management to improve costs etc.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
The person:
- Previous experience (minimum 2 years) in manufacturing is essential.
- The ability to work under pressure whilst managing changing priorities is required.
- A strong personality to be able to challenge operations is essential.
- Ability to review and improve processes is required.
