A superb opportunity for a Market Analyst / Researcher to join a Global Company with an outstanding people strategy, strong EDI policy and a flexible approach to working hours.  This is a newly created role on the back of the business looking at ways to create more detailed and accurate pricing information and provide financial data that support commercial decisions. This role will assist the Sales Management Team with decision making data to identify target markets, developing competitor intelligence, supporting pricing decisions and to assist in developing the strategic marketing plan.

The role will assist the Sales Management Team with decision making data to identify target markets, develop competitor intelligence, support pricing decisions and to assist in developing the strategic marketing plan. 

  • Researches, analyses and reports on the companies current and potential markets, supporting the short- and long-term goals and objectives of the company for competed products.
  • Supports the sales and Business Development team in bidding processes through the capture, analysis and reporting of bid pricing. 
  • Provides insights in to historic pricing and win rates by working with the Marketing Manager to with provide insights into market price levels in various sectors.
  • This role provides support for key value stream areas to enhance customer and competitor understanding informing the marketing and strategic plans and supports the sales team with, relevant news items and information

To be considered for this role: 

  • Excellent data analysis skills, using excel spreadsheets and pivot tables to synthesise data.
  • Experience in gathering and summarising market and competitor intelligence
  • Ability to summarise and concisely convey critical data to others in the business, through report writing and presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, PowerBI, CRM and other technical software.
  • Able to gain unrestricted UK security clearance.
