An exceptional opportunity for an experienced Operations Director to join Luxfer Gas Cylinders  a global, engineering-led manufacturing business based in the East Midlands  leading a key operational site through growth, transformation, and strategic development.

The role will take full responsibility for manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality and HSE, delivering operational performance while embedding continuous improvement and supporting long-term strategic growth.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven senior leadership experience within complex, regulated manufacturing environments
  • Background in relevant sectors such as metals, aerospace, automotive, nuclear, or advanced engineering/manufacturing
  • Demonstrable success leading operational transformation and performance improvement programmes
  • Strong track record in operational excellence and lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Commercially minded with the ability to align operational delivery to wider business strategy
  • Strong leadership capability with experience developing and inspiring high-performing teams

Essential:

  • Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Direct, relevant manufacturing sector experience in a comparable operational leadership role
  • Strong understanding of quality, HSE, supply chain and engineering integration within manufacturing operations
