Experienced Payroll Specialist required for a family-owned company with a team committed to creating supportive environments, where they can help each other deliver the highest level of support to their clients.
The purpose of the Payroll Specialist is to ensure the smooth transition of bringing the payroll in-house, then manage the payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintaining financial accuracy, employee satisfaction, and compliance while serving as the key point of contact for payroll enquiries, internally and externally, providing support and resolving issues to ensure smooth operations within the operation.
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Finance Managers, duties will include:
- Processing four weekly payrolls for c650 employees including overtime and shift allowances.
- Processing all relevant deductions including PAYE deductions, NI etc.
- Ensuring all hours are accounted for accurately.
- Reviewing staff costs for reporting purposes.
- Dealing with all payroll queries.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
The person:
- Previous Payroll experience is essential.
- Knowledge of UK legislations, tax code and auto-enrolment is required.
- Understanding of shift patterns, zero-hour contracts etc is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
