Senior Accounts Assistant

Experienced Accounts Assistant required for a group of companies with the Head Office based in Chesterfield. This is an opportunity for someone looking to develop/progress in their career. 

The purpose of the role is to provide support to the Finance Director whilst also supporting the wider business:

  • Maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers. 
  • Bank reconciliations. 
  • Credit control using written and verbal communication. 
  • Processing payroll for c100 employees weekly, 4 weekly and monthly. 
  • Dealing with month-end procedures including accruals, prepayments, journals etc. 
  • General bookkeeping. 
  • Dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required. 

This search is not limited to any industry. Previous experience is essential. 

  • Good IT skills are required.
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 payroll is desirable.
  • You will be methodical with good attention to detail. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
