We are looking for a highly organised and detail‑driven Senior Accounts Assistant to manage weighbridge‑related purchasing, supplier invoicing, and site overhead administration, which is central to ensuring accurate data flow, timely payments, and strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Weighbridge Purchasing — Accurately process purchases over the weighbridge, ensuring prices, tonnages, and grades match agreed terms. Investigate and resolve discrepancies with internal pricing staff and weighbridge operators.
- Invoice Processing — Liaise with suppliers to obtain correct invoices, enter them into the system promptly, and ensure they are approved for payment without delay.
- Data Accuracy & Reporting — Enter all purchase data accurately and on time. Close tickets in FRED and update multiple spreadsheets used for reporting on quality, pricing, and material grades.
- Overhead Management — Manage site overhead costs, obtain approvals, challenge unexpected charges, and ensure all expenses are recorded correctly.
- Supplier Due Diligence — Complete due diligence checks for new suppliers, collect required documentation, set up accounts in the system, and maintain accurate, compliant records.
About You
- A strong understanding of transactional accounting processes is required.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- You will be confident using accounting software and Excel.
