This is a pivotal role that will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and representing the company in various forums.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work autonomously to drive business growth through the conversion of enquiries into orders and actively promoting the company in the marketplace.
- Develop key accounts and strategic partnerships while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maximise order value, frequency, profit, and payment terms to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Identify and capitalise on business development opportunities.
- Administer enquiries, quotations, and order entries efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Field Sales, Planning, Production, Quality, and Technical departments.
- Conduct regular customer visits, attend exhibitions, and participate in networking events to expand our market presence.
- Perform sales order review procedures and ensure thorough compliance with export regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, fostering strong relationships and understanding their unique needs.
- Plan and participate in customer visits, trade shows, and networking events both domestically and internationally.
- Provide coverage for other sector/customer accounts during holidays and sick leaves, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
- Generate and distribute order status reports and sales reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of engineering markets, production processes, and technical specifications.
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience in account management within the engineering / manufacturing industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with export regulations and compliance procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
