About You
You are an accomplished professional with:
- Qualifications such as NEBOSH National General Certificate and ISO Lead Auditor experience, or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and of UK EHS legislation.
- Circa 5 years experience in an EHS compliance role, ideally in manufacturing, industrial, or regulated sectors.
- Proven success in implementing and maintaining Integrated Management Systems.
- Membership in IOSH or IEMA, or working towards NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- A meticulous eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Your Role
As the EHS Compliance Manager, you will:
Drive Compliance Excellence:
- Monitor and ensure adherence to UK EHS regulations.
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Provide expert guidance on ISO standards and legislative updates.
Develop and Lead Policies:
- Implement and maintain Integrated Management Systems to meet ISO standards.
- Create policies and training programs that inspire a culture of safety and sustainability.
Collaborate with Leadership:
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align operations with EHS goals.
Support Sustainability Initiatives:
- Promote resource conservation, energy efficiency, and waste reduction programs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits and reporting obligations.
