Experienced Accounts Assistant required to join a well-established and successful manufacturing company with a strong reputation for quality and innovation.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software with correct categorisation.
  • Assisting in processing supplier invoices and payments, and help manage accounts receivable.
  • Support with bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and making necessary adjustments.
  • Reviewing and processing employee expense claims in line with company policies.
  • Assist with payroll processing, including maintaining accurate employee time records.
  • Assist with VAT return preparation and tax documentation under guidance.
  • Support the creation of monthly financial reports such as balance sheets and P&L statements.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required. 

The person:

  • Previous experience is essential!
  • The successful candidate will be studying towards AAT.
  • Good IT skills are required. 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
