The Job

As the Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will support senior finance leaders and operational teams, helping to deliver meaningful financial insight and drive commercial performance.

Key responsibilities to include:

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Producing accurate and insightful financial analysis to support decision-making
  • Partnering with operational stakeholders to understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Preparing monthly reports, variance analysis, and key performance metrics
  • Assisting in driving process improvements and enhancing reporting capabilities
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc commercial analysis and projects

The Person 

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in a finance role (e.g. Assistant Management Accountant, Analyst, or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent Excel and systems skills, with a keen interest in technology and data
  • Part-qualified (AAT or CIMA) or actively studying (desirable)
  • A genuine interest in commercial finance and adding value beyond the numbers
