About the Role
As an Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring seamless communication, exceptional service, and building long-term partnerships. This role combines strategic relationship management with hands-on involvement in technical and commercial processes, offering an exciting blend of autonomy and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management:
- Act as the main liaison for key accounts, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Attend occasional customer meetings alongside the Sales Manager to cement relationships
Business Development support:
- Ensure enquiries are converted into orders, promoting the company’s offerings during routine conversations and spotting openings for introductions of new products/services.
Operational Excellence:
- Manage the administration of enquiries, quotations, and order entry.
- Coordinate with other internal teams, including Field Sales, Planning, Production, and Quality, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Oversee export compliance checks and prepare detailed sales and order status reports.
Technical Expertise:
- Understand engineering markets, metals industry, production processes, and technical specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings and contribute to technically informed sales discussions with a focus on delivering customer satisfaction.
Marketing Support:
- Assist the Commercial Manager with LinkedIn posts, website updates, and promotional campaigns to promote services and expertise.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in the metals sector or related industry such as engineering.
- A track record of success in account-managing relationships.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
