Head of Product (Commercial) – Food Manufacturing
We’re looking for a commercially minded Head of Product to lead product strategy, performance, and range development across a growing food manufacturing business. This is a senior leadership role with accountability for product lifecycle management, pricing and promotions, and customer-led innovation to drive profitable growth.
The Role
You’ll own the end-to-end product agenda, translating consumer insight and commercial strategy into compelling product ranges that perform across retail, wholesale, and online channels. Working closely with Commercial, Operations, NPD, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance, you’ll ensure products are competitively positioned, efficiently delivered, and consistently optimised.
Key Responsibilities

Lead product and range strategy aligned to commercial and profitability targets

Own product lifecycle management, including launches, optimisation, and rationalisation

Set pricing and promotional strategies in partnership with commercial teams

Monitor product performance, margins, and KPIs, driving continuous improvement

Identify new product and market opportunities, including support on bids and tenders

Lead, mentor, and develop the product team
About You

Senior-level experience in product, category, or commercial management within food manufacturing or food retail

Strong commercial and financial acumen
