The Job:
Senior Buyer, responsible for driving value and aligning procurement activities with the company’s strategic objectives. The role will involve purchasing a variety of indirect products and services.
- Purchasing indirect products, services and contracts in line with the company's requirements and ensuring measurable commercial and operational outcomes
- Building and developing strong supplier relationships
- Monitor supplier data to ensure performance levels are within agreed SLAs
- Carry out supplier visits and audits
- Implementing and embedding procurement improvements
- Engaging with stakeholders, driving budget compliance and develop tender specifications
Required experience:
- At least 6 years' experience in a Senior Buyer role or a Buyer role with high spend responsibility
- Experience purchasing Indirects and services/contracts
- Proven solid negotiation skills
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering purchasing is an advantage.
- CIPS qualification or a willingness to work towards one is required
